Directions to area pools
BARBOUR COUNTY SWIM CLUB
From ELKINS- take Route 33 toward Buckhannon. Turn right onto Route 250 going toward Philippi. Stay on Route 250, through Junior & Belington into Philippi. Turn left at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Turn left at dead end and then immediate right into the parking lot at the pool. Overflow parking is available at the new Shop N Save.
BRIDGEPORT COUNTRY CLUB
Take I-79 to the Meadowbrook Rd exit, turn towards the mall off the exit ramp. Proceed past the mall entrance and the second right past the mall is the entrance to BCC (located in a blind corner of the road). Go up the hill and the pool is located to the far left of the club building.
BRIDGEPORT SWIM TEAM
Follow Route 50 towards Bridgeport. From Eastpointe light, travel 1.2 miles down the hill. Pass Ace Hardware. Turn left at the light onto Virginia Avenue. Cross the railroad tracks and turn right into the “Benedum Civic Center”. Additional parking is behind tennis courts.
BUCKHANNON SWIM CLUB
Take exit for Route 20, and turn left. Follow Route 20 for about 3 miles. Turn left at the entrance of the State Police and Buckhannon-Upshur High School. Follow road up to the side of the high school. The pool is behind the school.
CLARKSBURG COUNTRY CLUB
From 1-79, take exit 119. Follow Route 50 towards Clarksburg. Take Chestnut Street exit. At stoplight, turn right onto Pike Street. Stay in the left lane. At Wendy’s, follow Y left onto Route 19/ Milford Street. Follow Route 19 for several miles. Turn left onto Clarksburg Country Club Road. Follow CCC road to end. Enter CCC, pool is located past the clubhouse.
CLARKSBURG SWIM TEAM @VA POOL
From I-79 South, take Exit 119 for US-50 toward Clarksburg/Bridgeport. Use the right lane to merge onto US-50 W. Take the WV Rt. 20 exit toward Joyce Street, turn left onto Marshall Street, continue onto Buckhannon Pike. Continue onto WV 20 S/Buckhannon Pike. Turn right onto WV-98 W. Pool is on the right. Veteran’s Park.
CLUB MOUNTAINEER @ WVU NATATORIUM
From I-79 North, take exit 155. Turn right off exit towards Star City. Cross the bridge & go up the hill. Turn right into the Coliseum. The Natatorium-Shell building is behind the Coliseum.
FAIRMONT FIELD CLUB @Fairmont Field Club
From both directions - take Exit 136 Downtown Fairmont off of I-79. Take a left off the exit ramp onto WV 273. Follow 273 thru 2 roundabouts to the bottom of the hill. Turn left at the bridge light (before crossing the bridge) onto Merchant Street/ WV 310. Follow for 1/2 mile. Turn left onto US 250 S/ Fairmont Ave at the light beside CVS. Follow 250 for 1 mile. Turn right onto Country Club Road at the light beside Shop and Save. Follow Country Club Road for 1.65 miles. 1709 County Club Road (Fairmont Field Club) is on your right.
GRAFTON
From Bridgeport take Route 50 east to Grafton. You will cross a bridge then pass Go-Mart on your left. About 30 yards past Go-Mart, take Route 310 towards Fairmont. Make the first left on side street past car wash on left. Pool is at the bottom of the hill.
From Fairmont take Route 250 to 50 east and follow directions as above.
From Morgantown, take route 119S to route 50 west. Follow 3-4 miles until reaching route 310 towards Fairmont follow as above.
From Philippi- Take Route 119N until route 50 West… follow as above.
LAKE FLOYD
From I-79, take exit 119 Clarksburg/ Bridgeport. Take Route 50 West. Follow 10 miles toward Salem. It will be the left turn after Marshville Road. After left turn stay right. About half way up the lake will be the club house parking lot.
MORGANTOWN UNITED AQUATIC CLUB
Take I-79 to exit 155 Star City exit. Turn right off exit. Go to intersection with Sheetz (on right). Turn right, over bridge up hill. At stoplight by Coliseum turn left. First left and immediate left brings you to our parking lot (and now the WVU childcare center parking lot). Ball fields will be on your right.
SHINNSTON
From I-79 North, take exit 121, Meadowbrook Road. Turn left and follow Meadowbrook Road to Route 19. Turn right onto Route 19. Travel approximately 4 miles to downtown Shinnston. Turn right at second stoplight. Go 1 mile, turn left, onto North Street. Pool is 2 blocks straight ahead.
DODDRIDGE COUNTY PARK
From I-79 North, take exit 119 toward US-50 Clarksburg. Turn left off exit onto US-50 W for 26 miles. Turn left onto Snowbird Rd (0.2 miles) and turn left on bridge to continue to stay on Snowbird Rd. After 1 mile, turn right in Doddridge County Park.
